thetrenchrat22 Posted 23 September , 2019 Share Posted 23 September , 2019 In memory of S/4357 Private James Mclean, who was killed in action on 23rd September 1915 and buried in Fosse 7 Cemetery, France with the other 7 of his Battalion who died on this day. not recognise as a casualty of the Great War by the CWGC until 2000, when his name was added to the Le Touret Memorial, France His actual Grave was identified in Fosse 7 cemetery, in July 2014. Finally recognised as being buried in Plot 1, Row B, Grave 5 of Fosse 7 Cemetery, France by the CWGC, NAM and JCCC in February 2019. Out of a short conversation, a long journey was took, with blood, sweat and tears, along the way. A young life lost, a sacrifice that will not be forgotten.
