Hello David, Hello Max,

I am trying to identify an RAMC officer mentioned in a letter that I have. I believe the name is Dr Dewar - its hard to read the hand writing - he is described as having served with the 10th Division in Serbia and being with the 25th Field Ambulance. As you say I have now found the 25th was nowhere near Salonika. The man in question was also at Imbros during the Gallipoli campaign - from google it seems that the 25th Casualty Clearing Station was also there so that seems more likely than the 2/5 London Field Ambulance which was my other thought. Do you know if the 25th CC was in Serbia with the 10th Division?

Edit-  Glasgow Medical Jnl 1917 adds this:

Temporary Captain R. S. Dewar, M.B., Ch.B.Glasg. (1905), R.A.M.C, is a well-known practitioner in Govan, and holds the post of dispensary surgeon to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

He was MiD again in 1917.
