Marilyne Posted 16 September , 2019 Share Posted 16 September , 2019 G'morning all, a good friend of mine like to stroll in antiquities shops and found me this little gem: "Die Marneschlacht 1914: insbesondere auf der front der deutschen dritten armee" by Artur Baumgarten-Crusius. the reading of the old German is bound to give me some headaches but I think I'm in for a good read. Anybody else know and/or read this?? M.
Robert Dunlop Posted 16 September , 2019 Share Posted 16 September , 2019 There are some interesting snippets but an awful lot of detail about what unit started where and ended up there by when... Robert
The Prussian Posted 17 September , 2019 Share Posted 17 September , 2019 Hello I read it too. It´s very interesting, because it´s written with the view of the saxon army. I think there is no battle but the Marne 1914 which caused a flood of literature about the german failure in the first days of the war. I own the following books about the Marne 1914: *Lieutenant-Col.

Right now around 1500 books in my collection Well I have seen once a Library with moving bookshelves, allowing for TWO rows of books. I solved one piece of the problem by buying a new house with Boyfriend and assuring myself that the "office" room is MINE!! Pictures once everything is installed will follow! M.
