171 Indian combined field ambulance

Discovery National Archives has the Aug 1918 onward War Diary here, but you have to visit as it has not been digitised

 

Implies 53rd Welsh Divisional Troops but you know this already !

But confused mate!. Have a man in  279 ASC in 1915. The 279 were attached to RND. After  Gallipoli RND leaves for WF. Then this man appeared in 171 Indian combined field ambulance in Aug 1918. In August 1918 the 53Welsh would have been in full swing in the Palestine campaign. If transferred to this newly arrived 171 would he have been in Palestine or Egypt? Was he in the 53rd Welsh just before he transferred to 171.
