Andrew Upton Posted 5 September , 2019 Share Posted 5 September , 2019 Some time ago I acquired an original tunic to William Freeman Cooper, who in 1919 was awarded the MC and Bar in addition to the BWM and VM. I am trying to ascertain what his medal ribbon bar relating to his WW1 service would have contained. At the base of his MIC is a comment relating to emblems. In this case can someone confirm if this relates to the rosette showing his entitlement to the Bar on his MC, or if it for something else (MID or otherwise)? That's what I thought, but every time I have tried to search out a gazette entry for an MID I can only locate information relevant to the MC's, so was getting a little confused...
