Recruits enlisting at Carmarthen

I would be grateful if anyone could tell me where men would have enlisted in Carmarthen in April 1917. I think that these would have been reservists coming of age and others in response to call up papers.

Recruiting at the beginning of the war was at the Barracks in Carmarthen.

I don't know if it was different by 1917.

Steve John's book "Carmarthen in the Great War" probably has the answer for you in it.

 

Edit: Newspaper reports from about 1916 refer to the recruiting office in Lammas Street, which ends about a quarter of a mile from the barracks. I thought perhaps they referred to the same place, but one report (28/1/1916) states that men ..." marched from the barracks to the recruiting office in Lammas-street...". So, clearly, they were two separate places.
