Sgt Stripes Posted 2 September , 2019 Posted 2 September , 2019 Hi. Looking for any information on the German Armed Steamer NACHTIGAL, sunk in action with HMS DWARF in the Cameroon river 16 September 1914, especially who built and owned her also is there any photographs of her and was she salvaged. Many ThanksĀ
GreyC Posted 2 September , 2019 Posted 2 September , 2019 (edited) Hi, built by Germania-Werft Kiel in 1895 for Kaiserl. Gouvernement Kamerun, 249 BRT, 42,88m length. Actually NACHTIGAL II, not to be confused with predecessor Nachtigal (I), also in Kamerun.
