Norfolksapper Posted 31 August , 2019 Posted 31 August , 2019 I’ve just learned that my Great Grandfather served in 197 company machine gun corps. It was an expected surprise made by joining a different history research site. Anyway I have a large picture if anybody wants an electronic copy of this unit. No names though sorry. regards

Richard Fisher Posted 31 August , 2019 Posted 31 August , 2019 I'd certainly like to see a copy of the photograph. We've quite a few unit photos but, as will most, no names. Richard
jay dubaya Posted 1 September , 2019 Posted 1 September , 2019 Yes I’d very much like to see a copy of the 197th MGC, it would be greatly appreciated, I have a photo of a Lancashire man who died whilst serving with them in November 1917 J
jay dubaya Posted 30 September , 2019 Posted 30 September , 2019 Just bumping this up as I thought it may be a genuine offer J

Shaun Garner Posted 7 July Posted 7 July Great news for you! I would love to see the photo. Have you seen the war diary’s on the national archive? You can download them for free. I found them and my great uncles details , he got gassed and several weeks later ended up with part of his skull blown off, but he survived with a metal plate in his head.
