I have been lurking at this most excellent resource forum for some time and very useful it has been but I am in need of some expert help

I have trawled the Gazette until my eyes bled

I cannot for the life of me find a ISM awarded to William Roberts

Its the key to the WW2 Medals to find service record etc

Thank You

Im off to rest my weary eyes

Hi

Do you have any idea when he would have got the ISM and has he any other names, as his name is quite common. The ISM gazettes have the surname, then the First name / names.

Peter

No other info im afraid

All i can say its after 1954 and before 1998

Assuming he served 39 to 45 and at some point received an ISM for 25 years service and retired aged 65 it does narrow the window to around 1985 + - 5 years

But thats guess work and a load of assumptions. The gazette search engine doesnt allow to search just for ISM recipients

I see a long road ahead

as this is a WW2 or later issue you had better ask here, https://britishmedalforum.com/ before this gets locked

Hold your horses, I have ERII ISM to men who served in WW1.

Do you have the medal to know which monarch ?
