Guest Posted 26 August , 2019 Posted 26 August , 2019 Re Arthur Millward. I am afraid that it was my Great Uncle by Marriage , Fred Millward, who played once for Worcestershire as a Minor County and Umpired Test Matches, including when Hobbs got Appendicitis.. I did not know about Kidderminister, but he refereed a Cup Semi-Final. The speculation about Arthur Millward is therefore untrue I have his photograph as coach to Eastbourne College, with Lloyd-George's son in the team He was also coach to Sussex in the days of Gilligan and Tate. I have a photo of him as Umpire with a charity team including my Uncle and Jack Hobbs playing at Eastbourne. He was always mentioned in Wisden's in my young days and the Museum at Lloyds can print out a magazine article on him.I never met him I was searching for his brother, a Railway Engineer who helped introduce Argentina to Football. He was decorated in the First War.but I have no details. Derek J. Cole
