syd Posted 18 August , 2019 Posted 18 August , 2019 One of my ancestors, Sidney Rooks, served as a private in the 8th Devons. His service number was 20629. I have his medal card and medal roll listing. I have so far been unable to discover when he may have enlisted. Sidney was born in Devon in 1896. Can anyone help?
