regimentalrogue Posted 18 August , 2019 Share Posted 18 August , 2019 12468 Pte George Johnson enlisted with the King's Liverpool Regiment in the British Army on 18 Aug 1914. He served throughout the First World War with the regiment and was discharged on 22 Mar 1919. (These dates are from a Second World War attestation paper for Canadian service.) I have Johnson MICs. There are two of them, his name being misspelled Johnston on the card his BWM/VM were created from, but correctly on the card which produced his 1914-15 Star. Unit and service number do match on cards and medals. I am hoping someone with expertise in the King's Liverpool Regiment can place Johnson in a battalion for me. Thank you in advance. kenmorrison Posted 18 August , 2019 Share Posted 18 August , 2019 His Medal Roll entry shows him (as Johnston) with the 11th Battalion and then the 2/7th Battalion. Ken
