stuart rowles Posted 16 August , 2019 Posted 16 August , 2019 I have just found this picture on the internet of a WW1 Memorial housed in St. Georges Chapel, Ely, Does anyone have any pictures of the panels that can be read.
Acknown Posted 16 August , 2019 Posted 16 August , 2019 G***le is your friend! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=St.+Georges+Chapel,+Ely+Cathedral&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj-p8n85ofkAhXRsaQKHS42B_UQ_AUIESgB&biw=1455&bih=717#imgrc=htB2BxZ6RcuiZM: Look through for readable ones - there are some. stuart rowles Posted 17 August , 2019 Author Posted 17 August , 2019 I have looked but can't find the name I was looking for that is readable. James Robert Rowles, Civil Service Rifles, died 1.12.1917. I know his name is on one of the panels for sure.
Acknown Posted 17 August , 2019 Posted 17 August , 2019 Ah. Nor can I. As he came from Cambridge, he would be on that section with the other 'Rs' but no one seems to have posted a photo of that area. Acknown
