Remembering the first of 47 Squadron's south Russia Casualties.

15th August 1919 (100 years ago today).

Capt. Robert Ernest Eversden, R.A.F.

Age 24.

Accidentally killed (just before midnight) by a sentry appointed to guard the squadron's steam train Ekaterinodar, south Russia.

Son of Catherine and the late Elonza Eversden (Alan Cottage, Ley Hill, Chesham, Buckinghamshire / 57, Swanage Road, Southend-on-Sea). 

Commemorated on the Haidar Pasha Memorial, Turkey and Ley Hill Memorial Hall.
