Lt J G Simpson (Royal Sussex)

Hello

im trying to trace this chap who i believe was in the 13th royal sussex  i believe he was first in the 28th London 2893 but i may be wrong on that i also think he won the MC

any help would be great as I have drawn a blanc  I think he is James Simpson

Do you know if he survived?....there is a J G Simpson on the Roll of Honour in mid August 1917.

Relinquished the temp. rank of Capt. on ceasing to be a Bde. Ed. Off. 25 Feb. 1919 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/31307/supplement/5180

 

Relinquished his commission 25 February 1919 and retained the rank of Lt. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/31307/supplement/5180

 

In civilian life he was an assistant schoolmaster, later headmaster. His Teachers Registration Card can be viewed on fmp - He held a B.A. (London), M.A. (Cambridge). Trained in teaching at the Secondary Day Training College, Cambridge. Assistant Master at Bancroft's School, Woodford, Essex 1910 - 1919, Military Service 1914 - 1919, Wilson's Grammar School, Camberwell 1919, Grammar School, Ilkley, Yorks 1919 - 1925, Westminster City School, S.W.1 1925 - 1931, Headmaster at Northern Secondary School, Portsmouth 1931 -

Thank you all so much..im always impressed with the help I get....I spent ages on my computer and found nothing....the gazette date I was really really interested in ...id never heard of Brigade Education officer
