Guest Posted 13 August , 2019 Share Posted 13 August , 2019 My great uncle Ewart was killed at the age of 16 on 27/5/1915 whilst serving with the 1/6th South Staffordshire Regiment at Hellfire Corner near Wulverghem. I'd be interested to know if his death by sniper fire is recorded in another soldiers war diary. Colin Barratt.
MaxD Posted 13 August , 2019 Share Posted 13 August , 2019 Welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone will know of a memoire or personal history that may refer to his death (the unit war diary doesn't). If not, then the S Staffordshire Regiment Museum may be worth contacting.http://staffordshireregimentmuseum.com/ Max
