Hello,

One of the more interesting BBC TV channels is BBC Alba, a Gaelic language channel which can be found on 7 on your remote control. You don't have to be a native speaker as the programmes are subtitled.

On sunday, the WW1 series "Cuimhneachan" ( Remembrance), started to be repeated. It is a half hour programme of song, poetry and prose along with memories of those who lived through our shared period of history, and the impact on the Highlands and Islands. It is a bit of time well spent. The first episode can be seen on BBC iplayer, and the next episode is on wednesday August the 14th at 8:30 PM.

You can also get some decent Shinty matches on this channel!

Cheers,

Owain.
