SS Laurentic 6 Pounder

The local diving club in Downing, Co Donegal, Eire retreived a 6 pounder from the wreck of the SS Laurentic in 2007.  It's mounted on its original mount on the quayside there.

Indeed, it’s a 6 inch naval gun that fired a shell considerably heavier than 6 pounds.

The recovery of this must have been a major operation, given the considerable weight.

Has survived remakably well.
