Two photos, same man

Hi guys, 

I've got two photos here from two newspapers and I'm trying to research who they are on CWGC. 

The 1st battalion man he is easy to find. His number is 114 but the second battalion man is harder because according to CWGC he doesn't exist! 

I'm thinking that the newspaper has made a mistake and got his battalion number wrong. If that is the case then could these pictures be of the same man?
