joerookery Posted 5 August , 2019 Share Posted 5 August , 2019 Based on some of the discussions at the Facebook group German1914 it is pretty obvious that many of the enthusiasts did not know of the problems the Germans faced on the self-inflicted disaster. Some of the pals might be interested in reading this point of view that is quite different than that of Zuber. Quote There was absolutly no rehearsal. When Janet challenged Zuber on this point it did not end well. The biggest reason was the ad hoc nature of this force. A little from here a little from there. And then there was the secrecy.
