Mannock came straight to my mind.

Not convinced.  There is too much suggestion of a moustache, which Mannock never sported.

So alike (if you ignore the pseudo moustache) I wonder if this could be a spoof?

What are the odds of a sketch of Mick Mannock identical to a known photo being found under the fabric of a 100 year old SE5 wing?

Something certainly doesn't sound 100% about it to me but maybe that's just my suspicious mind.

There’s no doubt in my mind that it’s Copied from the Mannock photograph. It may have been hidden there for 100 years as stated but I would guess it was drawn later by some amateur artist.
