Interesting photos.  Different orders of dress.  In the group photo full dress tunics and overalls are being worn for a dismounted parade.  The individual is in some form of undress jacket, cloak and riding boots, implying mounted duty.  Interestingly the latter has both chest and skirt pockets this time.
