Abyssinia Medal is a perfect circular shape and this one is more oval shape with what looks like a star in between the oval and the crown. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Medaler Posted 24 July , 2019 Share Posted 24 July , 2019 I am unsure if No3 can be an Abyssinia. That should be first (nearest the centre of the wearers chest). The crown also looks to big for it to be an Abyssinia. The problem is that I can't suggest an alternative! I would go with the others being..... 1/ Egypt - straight suspender and rectangular clasp - and "pairs" with Khedive's Star as already mentioned. 2/ India General Service 1854-95 - cusped suspender & ribbon of 5 equal stripes 3/ Mystery! 4/ India General Service 1895-1902 - cusped suspender and rosettes below and between clasps 3/ Khedive's Star Do we know which outfit this bloke served with? - It might help to narrow it down.
