2951 Private Thomas Sutton 1st Bn Leinster Regiment     Has Class Z on his MIC?? does this mean he was sent home ill. Discharged 20/5/1919

10687 Lance Corporal Christopher Brien 2nd Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers  S.W.B list B/1381 need to know when he was wounded and when sent home

Discharged 21/6/1919

7846 Corporal  Arthur Richardson  1st Bn Royal Irish Rifles  transferred to 664th + 335th  Employment Company. SWB list LC/3079

discharged 30/1/1919  needed to when wounded, when transferred and when sent home.

 

I'm writing a family record of the 37 Soldiers in my tree who fought in WW1 but I need help with these three, Pension or Service records would be great. Many thanks ED

7846 Arthur Richardson Wounded Cas List 4/12/16 suggests actual wounding a month earlier. Hometown/place of enlistment, Dublin

thanks Charlie, can I just ask, were can I research Cas List are they on Ancestry?

Brien has a WFA Card. Although SWB list shows discharged due to wounds the card shows pension paid for amoebic dysentery attributable to his war service.

Thanks Mark, I'm not surprised he had dysentery, he served in Salonica and Palestine i just don't Know when he came home.

I have had dysentery. South America. Not something I would wish on anyone; Brien has my sympathies.

 

I was 5000 metres up a volcano at -18C when it started. I will leave the rest to everyone's imagination. Needless to say I did not summit. Lost 30lbs in a little over a week.

Hi all, Up date, found WAF cards for all three men, Arthur Richardson Ref; 13/MR/1856 Thomas Sutton ref; 13/MS/2792

           Christopher Brien Ref; 13/MB/229 has anybody access to these cards Ancestry looking for $50 or $8 a month on top of Subscription to view them. Arthur wounded 15/11/16 Gillemount I know I spelled it wrong, any help at all would be much appreciate.
