Think the Type 22 was still in service when war broke out .

I stopped looking for a bayonet for my rifle long ago. All ones for sale were rusty, worn and beaten up.

A friend offer me one, great blade, so had to get it

The Murata remained as a reserve grade weapon through WW2 but was still obsolete in WW1 with both the T30 and T38 rifles in service in sufficient quantities for a large number to be supplied to the British government as an emergency measure

Cheers

Ross

  • 2 weeks later...

What a strange grip! That recess for the little finger! Never seen anything like that on any other bayonet.
