Remembered Today:

What is the "Salonica Devotion" on the MSM Index Card ?

I'm hoping this is one of my Liverpool Schoolteachers Robert Tyson Robinson b. 1884 Fleetwood, Lancs.

Even so, I'd love to know what the Salonica Devotion is from this card off Ancestry.

Many Thanks

Dave

Not something I've come across before. I wonder if was reference to a MSM list for service in Salonika.

Dear All,

Surely 'Devotion to Duty' during operations in Salonika...

Kindest regards,

Kim.

I agree with all the above.  A few other examples I found were published in the LG of 03/06/18, like Robinson.

"His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of His Majesty's Birthday, to approve of the award of the Meritorious Service Medal to the undermentioned Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Men, in recognition of valuable services rendered with the Forces in Salonika"

Thanks all,

is it my man Tyson ? I can't find his normal mic under #9/4330

He is A/Cpl Robert Tyson Robinson RFA #686668 and #297899 (MIC incorrectly indexed as Robert J, mix up with cursive T)

Good man, I see there is an actual medal roll on Ancestry for Robert Tyson Robinson, I'll pick it up at the library tomorrow.

Thanks
