Kate Wills Posted 3 June , 2003 Share Posted 3 June , 2003 I have a copy of the memoirs of Major Jack Fairfax-Blakeborough OBE MC, who was a prominent figure in horse racing. He was commissioned into the 15th Hussars, but from March 1916 served as Horsemaster attached to 223 Brigade RFA. It is very good account of his and equine war service, based largely on his wartime diaries.
Simon R Posted 8 October , 2006 Share Posted 8 October , 2006 Kate, Does Maj. Fairfax-Blakeborough mention one Cecil George De Pree in his memoirs? It will probably be in relation to 15th Hussars, if at all. Simon.
