Hi All

I just wondered if anyone has a photograph of R6121, Sgt Frederick Eastaway MM, 11th Battalion KRRC. I've emailed the KRRC museum on several occasions but never received a reply.

Sgt Eastaway was a friend of my Grandmother's family, he lived for a time with my Great Aunt and her husband in Deptford, and I'd be curious to see if he appears on our family wedding photos.

   Any help will be appreciated.

Did he survive?

Yes, he lived with my Gran's sister and her husband from at least 1911 to 1919, when he married. He stayed in the area for most of his life working in the shipping industry before moving to Cheshire in the 60's to live with his daughter.

I know so much about him...an article in the Aussie papers by his brother, a report about his retirement party from the shipping line...a photo of his Sister, Son in Law and Nephew on my Great Aunt's wedding photos...he's probably on the same photo but I just can't confirm it!!

Seems he was wounded in the actions for which he ws awardedMM. Spent time in queen Marys hospital Southend. Could not find any newspaper entries that might have had a pic
