Dear arantxa, and the GWF helpers,

Good work securing the Pair to the gallant and capable Capt M. McBean - not to mention the all-important research documents!

Kindest regards,

Kim.

Hi, you should read A Company of Tanks by Major William Watson, who was the commander of 4th Tank Supply Company.  It's an excellent read and contains a full account of the unit's activities, including various references to McBean (known as Mac), who was the reconnaissance officer.  I've attached the first reference to him below. The book is available to download at https://archive.org/details/companyoftanks00watsrich/page/n6  Alternatively you can buy a reprint https://www.naval-military-press.com/product/company-of-tanks/ or an audio book read by one of his descendants: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/A-Company-of-Tanks-Audiobook/B071V8YNM7?qid=1500292695&sr=1-1&ref=a_search_c4_1_1_srTtl

All the best, John
