This is a frustrating moment... I receieved this email today in response to one I had sent out a few days earlier...

Suggestions please as to how to answer the one posed...

Dear John,

I read your letter to the Gleaner (Tuesday, June 3rd) and was wondering if

Herbert Morris had other brothers and sisters. I remember my father Leslie

Morris telling us (the children) of his brothers and sisters including a

Herbert Morris.

Please let me know

My posting to the Gleaner

Looking for information on Herbert Morris

published: Tuesday | June 3, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM researching the life and times of Herbert Morris, son of William and

Ophelia Morris, of Riversdale, St Catherine, Jamaica.

He was executed in 1917 for desertion, he was only 17.

I am looking for a photo, the running of a story, anything that may reveal

more of Herbert.

My interest is that I am currently researching executions in the first world

war, and am looking to put together a radio programme looking into the issue

of executions. The fact that Herbert was underage is an issue in itself.

I am, etc.,
