I'm trying to interpret the Medal Roll Index card and associated Medal Roll for my Grandfather, Oswald Luke.

He served in the MGC and the Index card gives the reference MGC/101B24, which I understand to be the Medal Roll number. I have located his record in there, on pg 2378.B form the Virctory and British War medals.

What I want to know, is given this little information, is it possible to determine which company and therefore potentially which theatre(s) of war my grandfather may have been in.

I could find no army record in my search on 'ancestry', where I found the above records. So assume these to be lost.

The only other information I have is a small photograph of him, which was take in the Middle East, possibly Palestine.

He was transferred to AR on 30.11.19 according to the medal Roll.
