Queen Mary of Teck visits No. 3 Canadian General Hospital at Boulogne, 3 July 1917. These photos misidentified by the IWM as being captured on 6 July 1917. Officers of the Australian Army being presented to Queen Mary of Teck at Boulogne, 3 July 1917, directly behind the Queen, Reverend Frederick George Scott CMG DSO FRSC, Senior Chaplain to the 1st Canadian Division. Queen Mary of Teck talking to the commanding officer of No. 3 Canadian General Hospital at Boulogne, Colonel Herbert Stanley Birkett, 3 July 1917. Queen Mary of Teck talking to Major (Matron) Margaret Clotilde MacDonald of No. 3 Canadian General Hospital in Boulogne, 3 July 1917. Queen Mary of Teck leaving No. 3 Canadian General Hospital with Sir Arthur T. Sloggett and Surgeon-General R. H. S. Sawyer, 3 July 1917. Note the expressions of several patients in these photos, especially © IWM (Q 2506). It appears the Queen is berating two Canadian shell shock victims. Their lack of mutual respect is evident.
