(Son of James and Helen Gordon , Dundee) 8th Bn Royal Highlander KIA December 16, 1917 (age 27) at Gouzeaucourt near Cambrai. Engaged with the 4th Bn RH in 1915 with the number 4124. Joined the 4/5th Bn RH with the number 201042 then the 8th Bn RH. The number "201042" and "RH" is written in ink in the kilt.
