lindylou Posted 30 June , 2019 Share Posted 30 June , 2019 This is my first time using this site, only just found it. Has anyone got any information about Reutel near Polygon Wood during the 1st Battle of Ypres? My husband's great uncle was killed there on 2nd or 3rd November, 1914 and his name is on the Menin Gate. He was L/Sgt 5381 Herbert Wyer. 2nd or maybe 3rd Battalion Coldstream Guards. Trying to piece together something of his history.
Steven Broomfield Posted 30 June , 2019 Share Posted 30 June , 2019 Lindylou - welcome to the Forum and good luck with your searches. I might suggest that you repost this thread with L/Sgt Wyer's name as the subject. That may well attract more attention.
