Guest Posted 29 June , 2019 Share Posted 29 June , 2019 Very surprised that staying up late last might to chew some antibiotics, that this excellent TV drama was shown without much fanfare in the early hours after midnight on Yesterday Stands very good comparison with the recent film- the dialogue is much fuller, Edward Petherbridge comes across as the more mature "stout fellow" than Paul Bettany and Tim Spall is much better than I recollected as Trotter- not the casual Tim Spall we now know and love. And Mason the cook is much better done than the portrayal by Toby Jones in the recent film What a pity this did not flag up a bit more. Would GWF chums kindly keep a lookout for it-If it's been on Yesterday once, then it should come round again? And remind me when it does-I might have nodded off..... Black Maria Posted 30 June , 2019 Share Posted 30 June , 2019 I first saw it on T.V a couple of months before I went to see the cinema version and thought it a much better adaptation .
