As I understand it, before 31-12-1915 (inclusive) qualifies.

This bronze medal was authorized in 1918. It is very similar to the 1914 Star but it was issued to a much wider range of recipients. Broadly speaking it was awarded to all who served in any theatre of war against Germany between 5th August 1914 and 31st December 1915, except those eligible for the 1914 Star. Similarly, those who received the Africa General Service Medal or the Sudan 1910 Medal were not eligible for the award.

Like the 1914 Star, the 1914-15 Star was not awarded alone. The recipient had to have received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. The reverse is plain with the recipient's service number, rank, name and unit impressed on it.

The award of the 14-15 Star was, in large part a compromise decision made as a result of calls for a “Gallipoli” campaign medal, in announcing the award  the Under Secretary of State for War Mr Macpherson declared in the Commons,

“Thus in the same way that those who bore the brunt of the attack in France and Flanders received a special mark of recognition by the award of the 1914 Star,  so those from our Dominions and Colonies as well as British and Irish troops who first responded to the call of duty and served in a theatre of war will receive special recognition.”

He then went on to acknowledge those who had fought in the campaigns of 1915.
