Can anyone help, please with information on Pte Charles Douglas MARTIN 99769 Attached 383 pow Company 1st King's Liverpool  Regt drowned June 9th 1919.

I can find no MIC, Soldiers Died or information on this POW Company

Effects record shows 1st Escort Co, KLR. Does give a place name I think and accidentally drowned. War Gratuity £14 10s to father Thomas. Place name:martin1.jpg.25d499365daada64abeb38a84e45dcd1.jpg

edit: Buried in Meteren Military Cemetery so obviously that

No MIC suggests C D Martin served at home or away from a theatre of War before 11:11:1918 and went to France after war ends. As an escort for POWs.
