I am looking to establish the reason behind my grandfather's discharge (detail above) at the time he was serving with the (RAVC) either with the 3rd calvary or 7th division. Still to establish which unit as woolwich had two mobile units.

Would appreciate any help or guidance to source.

Kind regards

Rob

Thank you for this. I had viewed the document before, not appreciating the information within. Reading only about his silver badge.

Sadly, the code reveals simply that he was discharged / no longer required.

Ive learned on a second thread that he sustain leg and hip injuries.

Thanks once again.

best wishes

Rob

Hello Rob

Please see my post just now on your thread on the RAVC.

Look at his records to which you were guided on the other thread.  The medical report and the pension award sheet both state the disability for which he was invalided out as "stricture urethra - permanent".
