Remembered Today:

6th General Hospital based at Rouen

Hello

I am hoping there is someone that can assist.

We are travelling to the Western Front next year from Australia to re-trace my grandfather's WW1 history.

He was wounded twice in action. During research we have become aware of the 6th General Hospital in Rouen.

Can anyone assist with information, the location or map of the area it was located.

I would appreciate any help.

Regards

Robyn

Robyn,

two previous posts on the Forum may shed a little light on this, one giving a rough location, the other suggesting that such a hospital may have just been a tented and hutted establishment so it may be that nothing remains of it.  Barbara Janman had a map with its location, but she doesn't appear to have visited the Forum for nearly a year now unfortunately.

Could this have been 9th General Hospital at Rouen?
