Sgt Stripes Posted 20 June , 2019 Share Posted 20 June , 2019 Hi. By chance can anyone help me and find out which number Battalion 14365 A/Sgt Ernest Sedgwick Royal Fusiliers served with. I have his MIC which states he landed in France 31.12.1915 and his medal rolls however they are for the Labour Corps and give no indication of his Royal Fusiliers service. I have looked at Forces war records and there is a entry which states he was wounded 30.8.1916 in France . it also says he was from Tooting S W. Dave66 Posted 20 June , 2019 Share Posted 20 June , 2019 His 14/15 star medal roll is here, stating previous unit as 13th Royal fusiliers. https://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?_phsrc=Orw9&_phstart=successSource&usePUBJs=true&indiv=1&dbid=5119&gsfn=Ernest&gsln=Sedgwick&gsfn_x=NP&gsln_x=1&cp=11&qh=NwML6OGh%2Bjdxy1FsvDLHpQ%3D%3D&new=1&rank=1&uidh=l37&redir=false&gss=angs-d&pcat=39&fh=10&h=200740&recoff=&ml_rpos=11 Good luck with the rest of the research, Dave.
