Hi FSands

Both awards are listed as A. Barclay.

Distinguished Conduct Medal:

London Gazette 13th February 1917

'For conspicuous gallantry in action. He repeatedly went out alone and mended the telephone lines under intense fire. On one occasion he repaired the line in 17 places. Later, he rescued a wounded man'.

Military Medal:

London Gazette 18th July 1917

'His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to award the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the undermentioned Ladies, Non-commissioned Officers and Men :— .

49954 Gnr. A. Barclay, R.F.A.

You may find more by looking at the unit War Diary.

Regards

John
