This chap authored a wonderful text titled Das kleine Buch vom Deutschen Heere, published 1901 by Lipsing und Tischer Verlag, Kiel/Leipzig. It is a handy little work in more ways than one, a vade-mecum, as it were, of the German armies before 1871 and the German army after 1871. He describes himself on the title page as "Fuerwerks-Oberleutnant bei der 15. Feld-artillerie brigade", but I cannot find out anything else about him. Anyone know more?
