Hey Guys

If a MIC has the theatre of war listed as 'I' - does this refer to Ireland or India?  I presume it's India.

Without sounding dumb - why 1. and not France like on most MIC's?

It's just the way the clerk wrote it. India was not a theatre of war.

Codes were used to indicate where they went- see - http://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/soldiers/how-to-research-a-soldier/campaign-medal-records/how-to-interpret-a-campaign-medal-index-card/medal-roll-theatre-codes/

Thanks guys I really appreciate your help.  He was with the 2nd Battalion and then the 4th - so presumably he went with the 2nd as the 4th didn't go overseas.
