Accidently wounded (am I reading this correctly)

Would the pals agree that the cause of death shown on the attached doc is (accidentally wounded)  

or any other interpretations or suggestions welcome

I have had a look at the war diary for the period leading up to the 10th November the battalion were having a reasonable quite time 

and were relieved and out of the line on the 10th Nov

I would read it as 'accidental wounds' as well, Ray.

 

He's in a casualty list in the Scotsman of 14 Dec 1917 as 'Died'.

Incidents like this were subject to a court of enquiry. It’s just possible that something may be mentioned in the war diary of the divisional adjutant.

Hi John 

Its has already been  confirmed as accidental

 on the 2nd  effects record as found by Abbrover (post 3)
