Captain James Black US Army died 1919 in USA

I'm looking for a specific date of death for this man please.

Can anyone help?

James Black – age 28 – Captain, United States Army Infantry.

In 1911 James, aged 19, was an apprentice with a law agent in Kelso, Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders and as a law clerk he sailed from Liverpool for Boston, USA in September 1913. James was living in Butte, South Dakota, USA when he was drafted for military service in 1917/18. (Source: Passenger record and USA draft registration)

Son of Thomas and Isabella (Spiers) Black 15 Sheddon Park Road, Kelso. (Source:1911 census)

Died on Service – 1919.

Buried in Pine Slope, Cemetery, Belle Fourche, Butte, South Dakota. (Source: Cemetery Index)

findagrave has a photo of his grave marker but only 1919 for his death.
