Are RNAS wings smaller than rfc rag wings

Hi, in organisational terms, for a long stretch of the war the unit to which the RNAS made reference as a 'Wing' would have been closer to what the RFC would have called a 'squadron'. Similarly the RNAS squadron was closer to the RFC 'flight'. However, there was considerable reorganisation over the course of the war. Context would be important. If you've a particular unit in mind please provide some additional information and we can elaborate further.

I think arantxa means the cloth Wings sewn on to RNAS and RFC aircrew tunics...
