Silver War Badge - unusual pattern

Grateful for Pals' comments.

 

I am researching Gnr Alfred Edwin Stockley, originally a  driver of the ASC, who was awarded the SWB in Apr 1917 having been discharged as a result of sickness

The family have the badge below, which is not of the usual SWB pattern.

 

Has anyone seen the like and , if so, what is it?`

That's very odd as Stockley died in 1936.

Presumably mixed up somewhere along the line in the family with his actual SWB.
