Hi folks

My friends workmate has her Grandfathers 1914-15 Star trio and Death Plaque, she was looking to get the medals mounted and I gave her some pointers and suggested getting framing.

He's listed in an electronic copy of a book I have "Coatbridge and the Great War" so I got a photo and other info including what's on the MIC and CWGC entry, both have him incorrectly listed as "McDonald", however the MIC itself does have a hand written note that the correct spelling is "MacDonald". His date of entry is right at the end of the Battle of Loos and he's listed as 8th Bn so almost certainly a BCR. Living in central Scotland,  I'm thinking he MAY have joined a different Regt and been re-badged on arrival.

Only thing left is if there's a Service Record, I'm more than aware I cannot request info from it, I'm only asking if someone could advise if one exists.
