I am interested to know more about this officer, can anyone help establish his full name and where he was from?

Thanks in advance

Could be this man https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D5101357 Manning Cato Ensor Sharp - second regiment has been transcribed as Leicestershire Regiment, but looks like Leinster to me on the card.

Actually CBE recommendation is available https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D7383646 which names him as Mainwaring Cato Ensor Sharp as does the recommendation for the Legion of Merit https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D7401132
