Errol Martyn Posted 20 May , 2019 Share Posted 20 May , 2019 A short, unpublished memoir that I am reading gives the capacity of the 1 1/2 Strutter's fuel tank as 40 gallons. The author's memory is not always 100% accurate and I am wondering if someone could please confirm if 40 is the correct figure? TIA, Errol

TIA, Errol Hi Jack Bruce in 'British Aeroplanes 1914-1918' page 550 has "Tankage: Petrol: 40 gallons. Oil: 9.5 gallons." giving an endurance with 110 hp Clerget of 4 1/4 hours and with 130 hp Clerget of 3 3/4 hours. Mike
